I am going to do a slightly big transaction soon through paypal.I have 10kUSD in my bank account but do not have a credit card.If i want to send a person 10kUSD through paypal, how can i do that guys?

Since "add funds" service is not available in india,i cannot just add funds to my account. Is there any way out?

I found this thread that says there is no need to add funds and that paypal will just take money off my bank account. Is that true?

Unfortunately... there is no other alternative source available for adding funds to an Indian paypal account... other than a credit card! :(
You will just have to request your regular banker to provide you a credit card... if you intend to pay using Paypal.

Do a wire transfer. It is much more secure and costs about $20 - $50 (international) vs. $300 for Paypal.

Make absolutely sure you trust the person on the other end though. Once it's gone, there's no way to reverse it.

It's better not to rely on paypal for such big transactions....better use Western union or escrow....It's safe and secure than paypal.

You need to quote PAN for transactions above 50,000, so I don't think you can do it without a PAN number, other than that there are no other documents. The bank people will give you a form where you'll enter your Account#, recipient bank details and signature.

Unless you have a verified account you cannot transfer more than $400 USD per month via paypal. PayPal will also look extremely closely at transfers over $1000 USD so I recommend multiple transactions over time after verifying your account or you will not have luck disputing the transfers if they go sour basically.

The safest method for a large paypal to paypal secure transfer is to send a USD$ gift request (Request money tab on PayPal control panel) to the other paypal e-mail as this cannot be refunded to the giver(scammed). But PayPal may have a limit to gift amounts. Note that a gift $ could avoid the transfers fees as well so it's a win win. Please +rep xD
