How to Patent an Idea or Sell Ideas ??

So lets just say that you have an idea which could completely change the way we search the internet for the better.

What would you do with that idea.

I know there are a few so called "google killers" but google has so much money they can just buy / squash anyone in there way.

So i can only see two options here.

#1 sell the idea to google somehow.

or

#2 patent the idea and partner with a current search engine.

I would appreciate any advice here.

 

Google has a large number of specialized people working aboard so unless you join the team I see a bit hard sell the idea to Google.

I would patent such idea anyway before trying with this or any other search engine.

I tried to contact them but till now i have got no reply .

 

Hmm i found this link, maybe i can contact them this way..

But still i would need a patent before i let my idea known.
