So I am trying to tack keyword and Ad conversion, I haven't launched my campaign yet btw .. at least not till I figure this thing out.

I need to pass the keyword and Ad info through the URL so that my script can pick it up and log it.

This is what I have in my destination but don't know if this would work:

    http://mysite.com/?OVKEY={keyword}&ad=1
    HTML:
The script I have strips the OVKEY value and the "ad" value .. that way I'll know which keyword was used by the visitor and which ad was clicked.. obviously I would only need to change the last number in the URL to differentiate between ads.

The thing is .. I don't know if that is the right way to do it in Google adwords. I used something very similar in YSM...

    Any ideas? Comments?

Why can't you just use Google Analytics and StatCounter?

Try this... Search Google for: Google Analytics URL Builder

It will help you build campaigns and tag them properly for inclusion to Google Analytics. If you're using a different stats tracking method, use Google Analytics (in addition to current).

The beauty of Google Analytics when used w/ PPC is you have:

    1) A portable tracking history that goes wherever you do
    2) Strong backing that the platform supports 99% of what you need now, and 99% of what you will need in the future
    3) Common platform to ask a wide range of industry pros
