how to overcome "check-adsense-earning-every-hour" syndrome?

Word.. it's the only reason I use Firefox

I used to check every 10 minutes, now it's every 5 minutes

 

just consider the first two replies and you'll overcome it.

 

Get a girlfriend

 

Well that's true... if you have your girlfriend with you then you'll forget your Adsense...hehehe

And possibly his head, his business from the neglect the demands the average 'girlfriend' requires, then perhaps he'l re-arrange his life, goals and dreams because he's 'in love'. I've never seen such bad advice on the DP forums!

ask someone to change your login password and keep it secret from you. And you have to promise to that person everytime you ask for a password he/she will get 10% of your revenue.

 

or give one of us the authority to manage your adsense...... (joke)

 

I'm not joking, I'm serious..... its work for me. I ask my wife to keep the password and everytime I want to check my stats I have to give her 10 bucks so now I just check my stats once a day

 

Lots of people have overcome this syndrome by being banned by adsense

 

I think this is the key. If you are able to think about chekcking your adsense revenue frequently, you are not working hard enough.

Just work on other projects and such and you will soon find yourself checking on adsense less and less. Sometimes I only check once a day if I get real busy.

 

Kinda drastic but it might work! Alternatively smoke a cigarette every time you check the stats and keep a graph of cost of cigs vs adsense income. If the cost of cigs goes above adsense income you are either living in the UK, checking your stats too often or have a death wish.

Firefox + Notifier = Getting Loads More Done!

Seriously, didn't you ever hear that a watched pot never boils, get the notifier and after about a week you will look at it like twice a day.

 

What difference does it make if you check it 2 or 30 times, you wont make more money so rather use the time to work.
