Hi there, As you could read in this thread of mine, I have tried every trick in order to get traffic without success. However I do not give up! Since I work in eBay and can see easily which are the most sold Items in the platform, I had the idea of writing to a big company who released a video game in October that is slightly related with my niche. I sold them the idea of organizing a contest in my Web site giving as a prize a promotional copy of their video game. The company answered very happy about the idea, they send me two copies and some goodies with the only condition of giving it for free, (sales are frozen, they are not allowing even affiliate programs at the moment. They keep the monopoly of the sales for a while), but since my intention is just to attract Traffic, I do not mind no earning money from just two copies. The questions are: Where do I find a good (and realistic) guide in order to organize a contest step by step. (I goggled it and found just crap). I need to know also how to advertise the contest, which are the best techniques (PPC, banners, email campaigns, etc) Which is the best timing (not too long that people loose interest, not too short that I do not reach the potential audience). We want to start about NOV 15 and give the prizes on DEC 24 Christmas. Legal implications to keep in mind. Could I use the logos and layout of the game? Just telling they are belonging to the X company? And other idea or thing I should keep in mind in order to get as much traffic as possible from this campaign. Any idea please?
