Hi, let's say your web host is good, your theme design also good simple and don't take to much time to load... and you feel lucky that one day one post will land on digg fp ...kool keep dreaming ... now how to make sure my blog will not go down? how to optimize the theme and php and whatever needed so the blog can handle it .... if anyone give us gr8 tips, i will give you free again free pr3 link on my blogroll follow type forever...so guys help all of us with your knowledge plz ..don't leave replies say " like you will ever be on digg fp"..because if you are one of those negative ppl...please move on ...we are all positive here....
Install the wp-super-cache plugin. This plugin can handle big amounts of traffic and the host probably won't suspend you. http://www.google.com/search?q=wp+super+cache and disable any other plugins like statistic plugins, shout box that might use server resources.
I would suggest depending on if you have wordpress platform only have the plugins you need, install wp-super-cache or hypercache plugin to ensure your blog does not fall flat straight away and ensure your pages currently load quickly and also look out for people making several connections to your site within a short space of time (if the are not legit).
