Hi I have a static website related business services in Chennai, I plan to optimize that site and i took some initial steps like meta keywords,description and title. I also submitted in some directories,forums and also in some social media websites like facebook and twitter etc.., but i didn't get good result, what else i want to do for optimizing my website. When doing your SEO, try to do it in the best way to get the highest quality. When you submit your links, check the page rank of the places you leave your backlink. If it's not ranking high than it's normal that you don't get value. Also submit articles. Submit daily to several web directories. You know it takes time them to list your site and also they may not list too. Continue being active in forums. Do blog posts, comment on other blogs to leave you backlink.
Being a good webmaster, you will have to work by taking care of all google algorithm and update.. so keep the quality content with 2% of keyword density and optimize pages with good keywords... make sure each and every pages have unique content and meta. then go for social media promotion and get some social signal, after that you will get the good result... as we know content is still king.!!!
Static or dynamic website, SEO is all the same. You really need to build HIGH quality links, the methods you described don't fall into that category. Focus on high quality rather than mass produced links.

But am still confuse. you said high quality link mean , the link coming from high PR mean i taking the link from pr6 sites there there is low authority and not related to my theme, then that link will works for my site ? and that will count as a good link for my site??
