How to optimize keyword ranking?

    Hi,
    My directory is http://www.theloansdirectory.com.

    I would like to SEO in order to optimize the keywords:

    -loan
    -mortgage
    -credit card
    -credit report
    -debt consolidation
    -financial services
    -offshore services
    -also more keywords present in the directory

    what do I need to do?

    At the present time, I did:

    - good page title
    - meta keywords
    - meta description
    - submitting articles
    - backlinks to other directories

    What more can I do? Thanks

    Content with those keywords in them is your best bet.

    1 thing you can do is shorten your titles. Instead of you 9 word blurb title on every page just have it for the single keyword that you are optimizing for that page.

    Also you dont have any unique content. All directories have this problem.

    Finally these are very tuff keywords to land. You will need TONS of incoming links with the anchor text = the keyword.

    Very competitive sector. As Aaron mentioned you will need a lot of incoming links and a lot of patience.
