How to optimize keyword for a specific country

How to optimize keyword for a specific country (for one of my keyword in one country I am on page one and for other country I am on page 5). The search engine I am talking about is of course google

 

You need to advertise for that specific target zone and on the .countryname domains.

 

I think first of all check your competitor site.Then tray to submit article and directory in your specific countries name.Ex : Suppose you countries name are USA.Then submit article and directory in USA based website.Its really beneficial for keyword ranking.

 

Target customers of that particular country by submitting in the related resources.

 

Get a domain ending in that particular domain extension.
Tag your site in webmaster tools to say your targetting that country.
Get links from domains from that country.

Hi all, thank you very much for your suggestions. Should I look for domain with a specific country as an extension, say .uk, .us, .in etc. or should I check which country the site is hosted? say its .com but hosted in UK?

 

Look for website that is also targeting locally and link to them. Also, submit your site to local business directories from your location.

 

choose country option targeted in your specific country in webmaster tool.you will get the results.

 

you can add the country name at the end of the title or the keyword like (your keyword | your keyword | name of country or your keyword name of country | your keyword | your keyword state name) or you can do it by adding your site on the Google local listing...
