Can anyone tell me like how do you optimize froogle store? is it same as optimize the website? or they have something extra in it.. thanx in advance
You don't really optimize a froogle store. You just submit your products to google base (froogle interface) and then google decides how they are listed on froogle, and if they appear in additional google search engine listings as well. I guess the only thing that you really optimize is the description or your product. Naturally, you want to use the keywords that users will be looking for, so that your products will come up in the listings when those keywords are typed in. But, you want to make sure that your description matches the real description on your site. In the setup, I think google mentions that this is important.
In my experience make sure your description includes the keywords most likely to be used for searches
1. Include all relevant product information in your data feed. If you have information for optional data fields like brand or ISBN, include it. Keep in mind that the information in your data feed must match the information on your product web page. 2. Write a product name that uses a general product name, the brand name, model name, manufacturer and product type. Think about how potential buyers will search for your product and use these identifiers. 3. Keep the description around 40 – 60 characters. Recent research studies are showing that a shorter description leads to a better position – possibly a factor of a keyword relevancy factor. 4. Enter the product category path for YOUR website into the data feed; not the Froogle category. Unfortunately, Google states that many merchants enter the Froogle categories where they believe their product should be listed.
My froogle listings started to triple my clicks and sales when I added my phrase at the beginning of my product title and included my phrase at the beginning and end of my description.
I guess your keyword phrase should in in the beginnig, at the end and somewhere inside your description. The question is how high the density is appropriate?
Have you tried making your prices cheaper by a nickel in order to out rank your competitor in Froogle? I suggest price adjusting and offering incentives for people to leave you valuable froogle merchant feeback.

Its common practice from froogle users though to drop MSRP prices by a nickel and to promote Froogle customer reviews by offering customers discounts if they leave a review. Good Reviews + Lower Prices = Higher Up in Froogle
