thanks for the heads up on some of the yahoo tips. i pay attention to on and off site factors for both yahoo and google but since yahoo still pays attention to the meta tag for keywords, i put some extra effort into that.

all my (quality and quantity) backlink work the last 4-5 months has seemed to helped with google search engine results but not had much effect in yahoo.

lol YAHOO sucks for traffic trust me i am # 1 for my keyword and hardly any traffic but on first page of google i was at 6 and getting over 500 uniques a day where as yahoo i am lucky to get 50 a day. I was on yahoo at #1 in days it is all about ON PAGE OPTIMIZATION nothing to do with links. if you can seo your site YOU WILL BE #1 ON YAHOO VERY EASY but it does not get much traffic unless your targeting a very very very high search term

 

Your experiences should not extend to such a generalization.

On Page optimization is important for both Yahoo and Google. Good links can give your the additional boost up in the SERPs though for Yahoo.

You will find quite a few thread on DP where the webmasters have good SERPs for Google but not for Yahoo so one cannot assume it is easy to SEO for Yahoo.

Traffic is an interesting thing at times. Different demographics use Yahoo compared to Google so some webmasters will find higher traffic from Yahoo than Google due to the topic of their site.

I actually like Yahoo traffic; some analysis done a while back showed a much higher percentage of ad clicks from Yahoo visitors than Google visitors.

Traffic via Search Engines of course depends on how much it is searched on as well as your SERPS so your traffic comment is true for both Yahoo and Google.

If relying on Search Engines, you should try to get as much traffic from all SEs as much as possible.

While I do receive more traffic from Google, I do appreciate the Yahoo traffic.

Thanks for the share. Good post about yahoo seo. I do not care much about yahoo traffic but still even a little traffic is traffic right and who knows maybe those are the most converting traffic
