    Hi friends.
I am in a fix. I want my listing to be shown on top of Google Places Page with a certain KW. But I don't know how to do it? Please help me on that regards. Suggest me what to do to get a good ranking in Google Places. Is there any special procedure there?

Have you added 2 or 3 of the keywords you want to your Google Places profile? There's a section that allows you to insert keywords.

Other than that, some positive reviews with your keywords should help.

Well first you must do keyword research and next you must do some link building and also get people leave a feed back on your listing..

Be careful about writing the reviews yourself. I read an article about the FTC cracking down on an iphone app developer that was writing their own reviews.

Just add the complete information of your website/ business you are in, including your address, contact numbers, etc., share your google local listing profile with your friends, Also add some of your keywords in description section as well.

You also want to make sure any places you can enter a geo tag for you business do so.

also citations, get as many citations as you can.

there are a few ways of checking on your competitors citations so you can use the same places to leave your own.

Look at the top three listings and see where they are getting reviews from, see if you can get your customers to leave reviews in the same places.

Add keywords to Google Places page, in description and title. I've read about how keywords in Google Places title can actually get you penalized so do it with care.

Also, don't write the reviews yourself; encourage patrons to write the reviews. If you must, get a co-worker or friend to write some from their account as to not raise suspicion.

    Cheers!

Add keywords in google places so that they do come up when searched. Also use proper keyword related to your business.
