How to Optimize Flash

How do you get an all Flash website to rank well?

 

Flash website memang difficult for search engine optimization

Using of flash is not good for SEO(Search Engine Optimization) instead try to use Jquery and Javascript or atleast try to minimize.

 

There should be minimum use of flash in any website as these sites are very difficult to optimize

 

Its batter to avoid heavy flashes or .swf files on the page. Generally search engine bots are not crawling in flash files.

You could offer a HTML version as an alternative then have search engines crawl the HTML version and the Flash version is just an option for visitors if they want to use the flash version.

To be honest not keen on flash sites in general as they dont work the same as other sites normally so can be confusing on how to use for visitors who dont know the site and are used to the way normal websites work. Dont get me wrong I have seen some exellent sites done completely with flash but my general opinion of them is not good.

You also have to keep in mind not everybody uses flash some people are very very wary about installing addons/programs to their computer which means your site wont be seen by these visitors. You also have to keep in mind userbility, has this flash site been designed so people with screen readers and different types of browsers that dont display images or flash content ect, are still able to use your website?

 

Just think for a second that is it possible to do seo for flash websites. They have no HTML that means they are in form which is completely not understandable by search engines. How do you think search engine will rank up a site if they have no idea what the site is all about. Usually the corporate companies made their websites on flash which have high class audience and well established business which don't need SEO like Mercedes, Levis etc

Johneva's advice is nice.

But also you still want to rank with flash website then you just need to do full SEO activity on your site.
Make strong meta title, description for site. Do double activity of off-page in comparison of normal website.

 

This is the era of web 2.0 and now search engines updated their bots towards 2.0 not it becomes possible to read content in flash files but bot can read only textual content in a flash files.
Google improved their ability to index text content in SWF files. This includes Flash gadgets such as buttons/menus, self-contained Flash websites, and everything in between. All the tex which you can see from your eyes in flash files can be index by google so using heavy images and pictures in flash file try to use textual content that can be help you in your website SEO.

 

Sorry Stephey but we can tell to search engines and site users what the site is all about by putting meta title, meta description on home page, aren't We?
And if our hand on meta then we can get rank well for keywords just throw meta in on-page, and by doing total off-page, aren't we?

 

For flash website, focus more on the off-page optimization
