I was wondering if anyone has experience with the following: We have eCommerce site where depending on geo location product inventory will differ. Meaning in NYC and Boston product A will be available but not in Miami. Users location will be either determined by user or their IP or cookies. If new user lands on one of the product landing pages, it will prompt him to confirm the location or select different location before showing him/her the product page. Meaning if the user has found Product A page on Google and then clicked on it, after confirming that he is from Miami, it will direct him to the product unavailable page in his location instead of the actual Product A page. The question is: Product A landing page will have a very slight content variation from NYC to the one of Boston, should I create two separate landing pages? If yes, will I be penalized for content duplication? Or should I have one landing page and only certain variables on the page will change such as location and price? Does anyone has any experience and shed some light on best practices?
