How to optimize apache using whm

    Hey

    when ever my site`s online user goes over 1000
    or may be near

    it goes damn slow

    i contacted server company they said increase maxclients and optimize it


    how to do that

    The latest version of cPanel that is out has the ability to adjust certain Apache settings right through the WHM / Apache Configuration interface. If the settings you wish to adjust are not there, then use the 'Includes' files for adding your custom settings, which can again be found through the WHM / Apache Configuration section.

    Try to recompile your apache using the easyapache module and you can also use MPM worker as it is usually faster then prefork one

    mpm is buggy it some times crashes server

    i donot recommend

    apache2 without MPM is simply apache 1.3

    You must-likely meant worker, not 'mpm' itself as mpm stands for multi-processing module at apache site

    None of prefork or worker are buggy
