    HI to all,

I have two sites named as alootechie.net and igovernment.in both are wordpress based sites
so there are some question in my mind regarding the seo.

    1. Both sites are basically news sites so the main aim of the company to promote them on google news.
    2. Both sites are wordpress based so how can I promote them to be listed in Google News.
    3. Is there any good wordpress plugin which will help me for the meta tagging solution.
    4. Is there any special techniques to promote a site on Google News.
    5. From where the Google News picking the results to show.

    Thanks in Advance

    Naren

You aren't listed on google news at all.

Also, you don't just end up there. Google selects sites to be listed as official news sources, and it takes time, and proof that you're a legit source. Blogs rarely make that list. At least I haven't seen many except for the big ones.

As for how they choose, there is no place to really submit to get in the news feeds. I might be wrong but I looked, a LOT. Although I had much better luck when I created sitemaps that carried every single post on my site. Since google only allows 1000 links per sitemap, I created 3 of them to cover all my posts, then submitted them all to google's webmaster tools. But I had already been included in the news by then. My guess is they base the status and worthiness of a website by backlinks and the weight of the sites doing the linking. If you look at their news site they say '4500' news sources so while that sounds like a lot, i bet there are well over a million sites out there that consider themselves news. So based on that they tend to be selective.

Keep in mind this is purely observation. I don't have any official word to go on other than what I experienced. So don't take my response as being 100% accurate unless someone else responds and verifies this.

Original content, do not consider yourself a blog and do not allow your site to appear like a blog. They aren't nearly as dependable, or ethical as a news site in general.

There is also a blog section now that seems much easier to end up in.
