Hi Everybody, I have a website which has 2 main sections, the first one is the flash section and the second one is the pure text section. The text section is easily crawled by the search engines. The flash section is a combination of various flash files and clicking on any of the flash files opens the page in the same window within the same URL. How can these individual flash pages be optimized so that it is crawled and indexed by the search engines. Regards, Jenita
There is nothing like individual pages in flash website because the URL in the address bar remains the same every time you click any section of the flash based website. and also there is no text based content in the in that website because all the content is embedded in the flash. So it is better to have text based website rather than having flash based website for the business. If you are using that flash based website only for the purpose of presentation then it is OK. But if you want to use that website for business purpose than it is worthless.
I'd have to agree with seodilip. Try to avoid the use of flash. There has been talk of Google improving it's crawl ability with regards to Flash, but as far as I know, this has not come about just yet.
I guess you talk to your designer and ask him to create the same flash website by locating each image on different HTML page.. which will call each and every image from a different location and you will get more pages on the flash website and can optimize their URLs and meta tags for SEO purpose and if u talk to your designer or in any design forum u will get the appropriate answer for your question as i m a non technical person i can help you this much only..
it's a tough task, i think... better do as seo1111 says - throw the flash pages around in an html environment
