How to opt out of the 'Get the full Yahoo experience on chrome' pop-up?

Discussion in 'Yahoo' started by Yodasan, Jan 1, 2015.

Does anyone know how to opt out of the 'Get the full Yahoo experience on chrome' pop-up? I know how to disable it, once it's installed(which I have not done), I'm trying to stop the pop-up from asking me every time I check my mail.
    Thanks!

Most likely a malware. Try downloading the free anti-malware from malwarebytes.org and scan your computer for possible malwares. Or maybe you can update your anti-virus too.

No, not malware, as I've read articles about Yahoo doing this. No one seems to know how to prevent the pop-up, though.
I have my Chrome set to not allow pop-ups, but this one still comes through.

    Maybe re-install Chrome?

No, that won't help. Yahoo will just push it out again.

If you’re using Chrome…Get Adremover for Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adremover-for-google-chro/mcefmojpghnaceadnghednjhbmphipkb

Right-click on the popup when it appears next, choose ‘Block this ad’, then slide the elements slider until the entire ad disappears, then choose Looks Good, then Block It from the next menu. No more stupid yahoo ad.
