I want ot open a page in facebook whose url will be something like following http://www.facebook.com/mySelectedName I don't know what called it is - page or group or channel Please tell how can I do it.
Login to Facebook and go to: http://www.facebook.com/username/ If you have a Facebook Page, then I think you need to have 1000+ fans to get a vanity url. But I hear that's all changing in a few weeks, and anyone with a FB Page will be able to get a custom url. Get ready for some trademark fights.
Kerosene is right - just sign up to facebook and choose desired name for the end of your url (if it's not already taken of course) it's free now.
Hello, Kerosene is giving you a very good advice. In Facebook you can have your own url friendly username for your personal account if it's verified with an sms code they send you to your phone. But, for fan pages, you need at least 100 fans. Some months before it was more restricted, maybe they will let you with a few fans.
They will be changing this soon so that you can choose a custom name for your page/group as long as you have at least 100 fans and have been going for more than 30 days.
I too agree with kerosene, as for having custom url, you can go for sig up with your desired name and you get the desired url. I too have my FB account with customized url showing my name in the end.
