How to open BIOS on Asus X51L Laptop

    Hello,

    Topic says all. I need to know how to open BIOS on Asus X51L laptop. All the time I get some error about HDD while I`m trying to install XP. It`s impossible to open BIOS while turning on laptop.

    Sorry, We found answer. While you are turning on your laptop, you need to press F2 in begin.

    If this is a new laptop with a serial ata HDD you need to change the HDD Controller mode to IDE ot something like that (depends on the bios vendor) to be able to install XP. After the installation you can install the SATA drivers and enable the SATA mode in the BIOS again for best performance.
