    Hi,

I am trying to open a US business checkings account as well as a Merchant Account from overseas. I'm not a US citizen so I do not have an SSN.

However, I do own a business in the state of California and have an office with a physical address and phone number as well.

I called Wells Fargo today but they told me I needed to fly in to set it up.
Is there ANY way to do this without flying to the States? (That's a 30 hour trip).

Have an employee of your business in California do it on the company's behalf?

That would be the obvious answer unless, of course, he is actually the owner of a "virtual" business with just a local telephone number, some local address, but no real business or employees in California.
