Hello, I want to sell divorcer.paris to a lawyer in paris (divorcer is the verbe "to divorce" in french). It's a very good one and i think some lawyers in Paris could be interested by this domain. But i have no clue about how to start my email and what to say in. I thought about speaking about the market's potential in this domain in Paris (between 23 et 90M€ per year). But after saying that how to convince them about the fact the my domain name is a good investment for them to take this market ? And do you think i have to indicate a price range for this domain at the end of my email ?
There are examples of domain sales letters on the internet. Here's an example: http://www.domainsherpa.com/sales-letter-template/ Here's an article on the 3 Things NOT to say in a Domain Sales Letter: http://sullysblog.com/Not-to-Say-Domain-Sales-Letter Bare in mind that people in France, or even specifically in Paris, may respond differently to the wording in these examples. Also, there are websites dedicated to "domaining", such as NamePros. They may have some additional advice to offer that you may or may not see here. Once you've got a couple variations of sales letters you could do a side by side test. Send a few emails out of each version and see which ones get the most positive responses. My advice, avoid writing your letters in a 'spammy' way. Do the research into who to write to beforehand. You could call each firm and try to find out the name of the person to send the emails to, then try to personalize it. So, no "Dear Sir or Madam", as this looks like spam.
I think you have quite a good domain name which you are trying to sell. Maybe you could also make it a bit more personal to this lawyer group. Ask a question like" do you have many clients which seek advice for divorce matters', ' do you know how many persons need your legal advice in regards to their divorce? Take care that these persons can find you easily with a professional domain name'. I guess that this will appeal more to them then just sending a standard 'sales' letter. Thats my advice. Emailing lawyers with the offer, while they are not even looking for a new domain name, will prove to be a waste of time. Did your try to list it on ebay France? http://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_from....A0.H1.Xdomain.TRS0&_nkw=domain+name&_sacat=0 By listing it there you will increase the likelihood of it being found in Google searches if you use all the right keywords, etc. You need lawyers who are already looking for a new domain name, not vise versa.
qwikad you have right i will try to put my domain on ebay. I will alsy try to contact some new lawyers who don't have a website yet.
