Hey everyone just need a little help I currently have a wordpress blog listed for sale on flippa but I just realised I have absolutly no idea what to do when the listing ends could any one offer an explination for this how do I move the site to the winning bidder is it complicated just getting a little worried now.
well, Did you put the site on its own Cpanel? If so then give them the login and let them move it. If not then you will have to download everything and give him a zip and he will have to reconfigure the db when he reinstalls it. you can export the posts and provde that as a file and give him a download of the theme and plugins and he can do a fresh install of WP and import the posts and upload the theme and plugins and your done.
There are a few variations to do the move. A good starting point is: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
You buyer will need two things: A copy of the entire site in a zipped up file, you can do this via cpanel or using an ftp program.. A copy of the database.. The easiest way to do this is to install and use the plugin WP DB Backup
i notice you get some problem with flippa, and i think you should buy my ebook http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1578417
