How to move from Blogger to Wordpress wihout losing SERPs And PR

    Hi

    I've a blogger blog which I started as a learning point for blogging. Now I want to move from blogger to Wordpress(self-hosted), but I'm afraid that I'll lose all of my SERPS and PR. :(

    Anyone knows a solutions for this?? :confused:

    Would be greatly appreciated. :)

    The only thing that popups into my mind is ..start where you leave off. I mean no need to delete the Blogger blog.
    You can start with the wordpress and use the blogger blog to refer to the new posts.

    So keep the posts on the blogger blog that you have made untill now. Post new content on the wordpress site and refer to that new content on the blogger blog

    Just my 2 cents

    I'm currently trying this.

    I'm doing a Javascript redirect from Blogger's blog passing the post's title, with a new link to a php file in wordpress blog and handling that title in that php file, searching for the post in the DB using title and making the redirect.

    Since, I'm not using post's url but the title, it shouldn't be a problem.

    By the way is there any plugin from which I can know from where the visitor came from (URI)? So that I can let them know of URL update.

    To move from the Blogger Blog To wordpress first change the blogpost to custom domain and then move to Wordpress and use 301 redirect to redirect your blogger post urls to wordpress urls

    I guess you will loose Serps and PR, just guessing because I have never had this situation.

    My situation was even changing permalinks and I did redirect, still, I loose traffics because of this.

    Just use 301 redirection plugin and redirect all the posts in blogger to the posts in wordpress. Go to youtube or google, you will come up with may articles on how to do that.

    Can anyone explain this to me Step By Step. I am a learner... and a step by step guide helps me the most.

    I have a blogger blog with a custom domain. I want to switch to Wordpress. Wordpress is more advance & sophisticated I believe.
