Hi, I used to have an arcade games website which I sold ages ago. Anyway, to promote the site I submitted a flash games pack of 5 games to download.com which I did not include with the sale of the site. I checked recently and over 1000 people are downloading it every week and over 100,000 downloads in total. http://www.download.com/Free-Flash-Games/3000-2099_4-10415260.html?tag=mncol;lst what is the best way to make money from something like this? at present within the download files, I provide instructions on how to download more games at a certain web address, and then on that web address I use 'cpalead' to earn revenue, although its only about $1 per day. any ideas? thanks all, much appreciated!
You could sell expansion packs or limit the functionality or amount of time it can used. Only provide the extra functionality in a registered version (which they have to pay for). There should be a "buy" button and nag screens if you go that route. There are also ad serving options, where you can imbed advertisements in software that is not something I've dealt with though.
Why don't you create a section where your member paid you to download more games. Beside that,you should be affiliate to some game site so that you can promote your affiliate link and earn when people sign up through your link.
