    Since adverts like adsense etc are not allowed for wordpress.com hosted blogs, I think your best bets is to sell blogroll links as well as write paid articles to be posted on your blog.

    Sell links and blog posts is the best way to monetize your site. You can also use PPC programs like adsense for extra income.
