How to Monetize my site with 2.5K Unique a day?

    Hey guys,

I have a site that hosts free mobile content. I create the content myself and people are finding it very useful so I got good traffic. Which is 2,500 unique each day, very stable.

I also make premium content, and I know that since the content is free, premium will be much harder to sell. So the conversions are low.

Does anybody have any more advice on how I can monetize this traffic? Maybe CPA offers? What do you guys think?

PS: Adsense isn't working out that great, so maybe there's something else out there. :)

You can try promoting ringtones as well... Some advertisers pay as much as $12 per lead... You can also promote physical products from Amazon.. Since you are already getting visitors, you should get some good sales, leads

CPA would be your best option as you can change to newer offers to keep it fresh. Its easier to convert people when they do not have to get their credit card out.

Yep, i'm with affiliate offers. With that much traffic, you should be able to generate a decent income from it if your traffic is highly targeted. :)

What kind of content do you host? Try to find an affiliate program related to your content.

Going with CPA = risking a huge bounce rate. I don't know about you, but when I'm forced to do as much as fill out a survey (let alone a FOUR PAGE one) or watch a 30 second commercial, I leave. Most others do, too.

Have you tried affiliate programs for things in your niche, like mobile phone cases and stuff like that? One sale could pay off a couple handful of clicks that a PPC program would have given you.

With that much traffic, why not try selling ads directly to marketers?

Throw up a post in the advertising BST forum and see what happens. Look at some of the other posts there to see what kind of rates you should charge.

Here's the update. I've tried CPALead and was generating only about $40 a day. I made more from premium content sales then from this and people were emailing me complaining so forced surveys are definitely out.

I'm thinking of trying direct advertising. I will keep you guys updated on what turns out to be the best monetizing method for my site. :)

    How much are you targeting?
What have you already used in monetizing? adsense? banners? kontera?

There are many ways. CPALead should be good if you could choose simpler surveys that doesn't take that much time. As I suppose longer surveys usually pays more, since you got the traffic, go for quick ones if available. I'm not sure what premium content sales are you selling, maybe you can consider increasing the price by 5-10%
Then use the funds to bring in even more traffic multiply earnings and grow.

With that number of uniques/day your banner adv price can go up to hundreds/month too.

Yeah CPAlead is great if you're not making much money in the first place, but if you are than it's wise not to include it because it will put a lot of people off from coming back.
