How to Monetize? (High Traffic, Mostly from SEs)

Hey Everyone,
I have a site that is getting 10-20k uniques per day and 30-40q pages per day. 95% of the traffic is from google and there is very little repeat traffic. The site is ranked around 50k in alexa. I currently have yahoo ads and popups from paypopup, but I am only making about $30/day from both those programs. What are better ways to monetize a site with alot of se traffic? Thanks!

 

I hope you mean monetize because "monotize" can only be done with a stereo system.

You should try Adsense tooo or just replace boxes on Your site.. $30 / daily from 10-20k uu is very pooor !

 

Tip: Get rid of ANY popups on your site. It will likely just eternally annoy your audience and thus damage your brand.

My tip is to get an email list built up and then survey that list. Once surveyed, take the data and find products to promote to the majority. So if you're site is full of women ages 25-40 then sell shoes or fashion or something (not to be stereotypical ladies).

I want to get rid of popups, but it is hard to beat the money I get from them. I forgot to mention, the traffic is pretty general, entertainment related.

 

Would you mind saying how much you do get from pop-ups so we can recommend something else that might bring in the same amount?

 

I have to agree with peeg, get rid of pop-ups.
There is always a better option than pop-up.

Good Ad placement should bring in a lot more than $30 per day.

If it's SE traffic it will have quality to it and I tink that CPA ads would do well.

It will be easier to consult you if we know the Genre of the site. But $30 from those traffic is HORRIBLE! You need to work better on it, and if the traffic is from SEs, you should convert quite well.

On Adsense alone you should make double that amount at least.

I think you have poor returns because of pop-up and bad ad placement.
