Hello there, I have a B2B website (it is alibaba clone), it is pretty new, gets around 10000 UV/month. How would you monetize it? When I just had an idea of starting such website I thought of doing paid membership (different levels) leave a free registration, post banners of other companies, as it is my first website it looked not so difficult to monetize, now that I run it, it seems harder and harder to juize the max. Right now it is making around 100 USD/month in adsense, my website has a PR6 but I'm not into selling backlinks or something. Maybe you have any great (ok, I know nobody will tell their great ideas) or crazy ideas. P.S. It seems that not many B2b webmasters are around here, it is not the most popular theme in here.
You say you're not into selling backlinks, but I would suggest checking out a php script called TextAds which you can get at http://www.SellTextLinkAds.com - This script can rotate an unlimited amount of text advertisements and is fully automated with PayPal payments. The admin panel is simple and it's easy to setup and manage your ad campaigns. You can charge as much as you like for different term lengths.
The main problem would be getting good clients, maybe automated process would attract more customers, but I assume that it won't be the ones I'm willing to advertise. But it is a good idea for google like ads to display. Will keep this in mind.
Actually I do. I checked your website nd it looks pretty nice. I had an idea to make such project for local customers (for Lithuanians)
