How to monetize a web site with 10,000 unique views per month

I have a web site with about 10,000 unique views per month.I thought that it was good traffic before I joined this forum because I see that most people here consider 100,000 unique views as 'ok' traffic !
What way do you suggest is the best way to monetize it ? CPM,PPC etc ?
or is the traffic too low and I should just forget about it and do nothing ...........

 

100,000 unique views is fairly good , you can try PPC if your traffic is staying on your page and surfing.

 

let me make clear that my traffic is 10,000 unique views and not 100,000

 

What niche is the site in?

Where do you get the majority of your visitors from?

Is traffic primarily organic ( search)?

 

There's no certain rule to choose it but imho 10k unique views/month is too low for CPM, PPC is the way to go.

 

the site is about software and the traffic is very targeted,it mostly comes from referals not searches

10K is okay if you just started your site. Sites like DP existed for long time and there are well funded, so you can't expect your site to be like this over few months, this level of success require time money and well management. So keep advertise and invent new products, unique products.

How old is your site?

 

You could also create some banner graphics & text ad copy to add to each page of content & have them link to related affiliate offers. Or, depending on the niche, you could add an Amazon widget with related applicable products.

 

don't use CPM, try CPC or CPA instead

 

It depends from your niche and content. Try affiliate programs when it's related to products you can sell. Try popup or banner networks as backup and compare your profits.

I personally think that you should make one dollar a month times your daily unique visitors. Therefore if I was getting 6000 unique visitors a day, I would expect to make $6000 a month minimum from this website.

Find products that'll appeal to your average user and advertise them through affiliate programs. Try a bunch of different things and see which sticks.
