How to monetize a site/page with high traffic?

    Hi fellows,

Suppose you've got a site/page that has high amounts of traffic for a certain keyword "xxxx yyyy" (i.e your site returns on the 1st page for that keyword).

How would you best monetize those high amounts of traffic?

    1) Sell a product?
    2) Adsense?
    3) etc ...

Love to have your inputs on this ... Cheers! =)

Sell a product. Selling something yourself is much more profitable than making money through advertising.

    Hi Kaabi,

Makes sense when most products cost $29 and upwords whereas you need to get about 100 clicks (usually more) before you hit $29 in adsense revenue.

Hmm, the other thing is the keyword term should be able to translate into some info-product. Example: "how to get good traffic" vs. "how did dinosaurs die"

    True?

    Very true.

If you want to make (probably) less money, with little to no effort, monetize it with advertising.

If you want to make (probably) more money, with (possibly) more effort, then sell products.

If you're going to sell a product though, you will be dealing with tax issues. If it is a tangible product that you are storing on site, then you're dealing with inventory space, tracking, etc.

Also, if you plan on selling the site some day, then you may not want to sell a tangible product.

What is your niche? There may be some other possibilities based on that.

I agree that selling product is much more profitable but it depends upon type of traffic which proram should you use.
