Also, put advertising spots on your newsletter for Nextel Sites, that'll bring in some money. Also also, put geo-targeted advertising spots on your site or partners site to Nextel dealers in the area, and make them pay you $75 to get listed.

 

The rates I quoted you are for RENTING your list, people pay about $0.50 per email to use a list once. You could certainly let multiple people use it (you don't give them the data, you just send an email on their behalf or have it done through a trusted 3rd party).

With a list of 400K good, opt-in emails, you could probably earn $50K on average PER MONTH (since you can't rent it every month, the broker will take some cash, etc.).

Just find a good list broker who can help you find businesses to use your list.

also start a small forum and after its setup, say that you have started a support forum for users to help each other with problems/recomendations on their phones... say that this is for their benefit. you can advertise on that forum and the forum will get big due the the volue that already exists win win

 

I, for instance, hate spam emails and every time I get some, I try to find out where is their website hosted and contact the webhost.

If you are not sure they appreciate this sort of newsletters, I think it would be ok to send a single newsletter at first and let them subscribe to it if they are interested. But make sure your first newsletter has more like an informational message feeling rather then a spammy, all caps lock "CLICK HERE! FREE RINGTONES!ALL FREE" message.

Here's an idea. Send them a bi-weekly or monthly newsletter that has a few (maybe 4-5) short snippets about the latest phone, the coolest new site, or something interesting pertaing to life (just because they bought a phone doesn't mean they only want to read about phones). This will allow you to gauge exactly what garners the most interest.

Do you have any other categorical information about them?

 

If I were you, I'd send the emails rarely. The last thing you want is for your server to be banned as spam by hotmail, gmail, yahoomail, etc.

Do not send them more than once per 2 weeks.

Make sure to read up on canspam and all appropriate laws (state laws too)

And then give them ringtones, joke a day, etc type offers.
