Hi, I am one of developers of www.tixik.com project. We are building travel community project with growing number of users. I would like to ask you for experience with non-us traffic, because we are new in international waters. We tried to look around and big affiliate programs like Kayak or Orbitz all respect just US traffic, which is quiet low at our site due to 35 international languages and mostly european traffic. We tried Adsense for pages with content which had good results, but unfortunatelly, at the end of April our ads stopped to show without any warning (sites with own editorial team and thousands of unique content pages are considered as MFA maybe ) The biggest problem for us is, that we are looking for a) adsense alternative for multilingual content OR pure travel ppc programme b) display ads provider for highly targetted visitors - again, multilingual (offering 3M impressions x 2 ad positions) Currently, we are trying to sell display ads directly, because we found no network, that could use our targeting possibilities. In fact, we can target ads to users based on country or (GPS position) and language (and few other choices), searching for a destination based, again, on GPS position and type. With direct sale, we started with 1Euro / CPT, do you think this is too much? Thank you for your opinions.
What you mean by CPT? I only know CPM. For non US traffic,you should try to tie up with some travel agency. If someone sign up for the package,then the travel agency will give you some commission.
One possibility is to use geolocation and send the users to another site you partner with. This is just a suggestion
