if google images amounts to anything over 5% of traffic, then theres something wrong. You trraffic should surely be referrals, search engines, IBL's, blogs, other forums etc tec, not image searches? Maybe i dont know the footballl website industry well enough, but this just seems odd . Whats IS your google images referral percentage then?

Whats even odder though, is your adsense revenue, its far too low, even if google images was ALL your traffic its still bad for 60,000 visits a month. I'm getting $3 a day on a site with a tenth of that, with adsense tucked away down the bottom.

Dont get me wrong, i'm not having a go in the slightest, quite the opposite, i'm just trying to understand where your figures are coming from and i'm genuinely interested how you're working this out.

Whats your total unique visits? what are your different traffic source percentages?

Thats just it, most of the traffic comes from Google images, around 2000 Google image searches and 500 natural searches through Google, mostly long tail as the site hasn't been optimized for a any keyword at all.

The Football niche isnt great for adsense anyway, one of my forums gets around 2000 visitors normal days and upto 10,000 unique on match days.

Its just not a very "clicky" kind of people , direct advertising does much better. Adsense is pretty crappy to be honest.

If those figures are correct, thats amazing.. genuinely.
regarding your uniques via search engines, i'm guessing you have thousands of pages in order to get the longtail keyterms generating the traffic, but even then the searches have to be there in the first place.

What stats package do you use?

edit: lol, i just checked figures for football related searches.. no wonder you get so much traffic ! no need to explain any more.. :) I wasnt aware how much traffic the footy terms generated.

G analytics and awstats both pretty accurate, i think its just a poor niche. The rest of the network do ok , although direct advertising is the main focus anyway, this one site just caught me off guard with all the image referrals
