Hello DP Members, There is something I want to ask here, I'm little bit confuse to measure my payment, I'm webmaster and web admin for some small corp, but I don't know how much I can charge for my work... Can someone share about it or give some advice?
How much do you you worth? Try to get as much as you can but keep it normal and reasonable, just charge what you think you worth. In Israel, a good company with solid income pays an average of $20-$25 / hour for a good programmer. Usually you get more than that, like $30-$35 an hour, but it depends on the place you work at.
charging for projects can might be a problem.. if you have good estimations then go for it.. you might earn some extra bucks in this way.. but usually when you are a programmer you have no clue of estimations.. trust me on this one every estimation that I give I should double by 2 or 3 in order to get the real estimation... this is tricky thing.. that's the main reason for me to charge per hour.. it is more comfortable and you don't have to have a good estimation..
The best idea is to compare the rates of other workers in your country. ie. India costs about $10 per hour, but the U.S. charges about 30-40 USD per hour for a good programmer. Comparison is the best tool.
You charge what you think your services are worth. Be confident and don't be afraid to ask for money. If you are truly good at what you do and provide excellent customer service, then there shouldn't be a reason why you can't charge what you want.
DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF PROJECT U CAN CHARGE.I.e u may charge 25oo for medium projct n for larg projct amount 5ooo/
I would calculate it on the time required and also do a search that what other people could be charging for the same service.
