Hello, How can I know the CTR caused by a keyword? My site offers downloads and I wonder how can I know the click-through-rate for a keyword(s). So if there are 100 entries from google for 'download website optimizer', how can I know how many clicks on download button/link followed? I played around with GA, goals, filters and couldn't come up to the final formula. Thank you in advance!
Create a custom segment showing only visitors that have arrived using your named keyword. Apply this custom segment to either goals or content view depending on how you've setup the download goal. This will then show you the number of downlaods from just those entry keyword(s).
Also, please keep in mind that click to downloads (they simple dont have the GA tracking script) are not automatically tracked. You will have to add a _trackPageview to each download link before they show op in GA. You might already know this, but just wanted to be sure!
Yep. Already fixed sources and tracking... Thanks! In the end it was simple..dunno why I couldn't make it work...
