How to maximise Adsense earning using in Forum?

    I'm running a contest forum and would like to know is there any tips or advise on how to maximise my Adsense earning using my forum. I'm currently placing 1 Adsense ad (AdSense for Content[Text Ads only]) under each first post and 2 Adsense ad (AdSense for Content[Link Unit]) under the top and bottom navigational. Can I put more ads in my forum? Someone said I can earn much better by placing CPM ads since CTR for forum is smaller but it has a good pageviews. How do I do this CPM ads thingy?

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Maybe you might try to put side wide Leaderboard (728 x 90) ads (that shows in all pages) under header. You are allowed to put up to 3 ad spots

    Thanks.. Which one is better;

    - 1 leaderboard or;
    - 2 468*60 banner at the top

    Which one would you advise for me to use for the top site wide banner. Image ads? Text only images or text+images banner?

    I use 468*60 at the top of my forums. My CTR is about 0.10% which is not bad, because forums have always low CTR.

    CTR for forums is very low i have found that ads on header are best suitable for me!
