How to mass rename images removing underscores etc?

    Hi all. Thanks so much for reading and helping.

    Does anyone know a method to quickly mass rename lots of images that have obscure names removing things like underscores, dashes and numbers etc.

    A way in PS or any nice freeware tools?

    If you have Photoshop, you probably also have Adobe Bridge. Open Bridge and select the images you want to rename. Click on "Tools" and "Batch rename..."
    A dialog will open that will allow you to choose the new name and a number sequence to give each file a unique name like image01.jpg, image02.jpg, etc.

    Thanks ekim. Actually, I find the perfect tool already now.

    Its called Ant Renamer and its good can remove special characters change words etc in case anyone wants to know in the future.
