How to mask ads ?

Hi I have a blog, and i have pretty low earnings..
I heard that ad masking can increase our clicks..
anyone knows about it please help....

Is it illegal ?
I am using adbrite and bidvertiser, will i be banned if i do this ?

Is there any legitimate way of increasing earnings through clicks ?

 

If you mask ads to fool the users, you will be fooled by the advertiser/company.

Masking ads or attempting to fool users into clicking on them is against the T.O.S. of most programs.

 

You shouldn't mask ads, just place them so that the user will have no choice but to notice them.

 

Masking ads, it just sounds illegal already.
