Hi guys and gals. I have just set-up a webmasters forum www.skinurself.com and i am wondering if anyone knows how to get it off the ground. At the minute i have done the following; Added an incentive - i am offering free web hosting as an incentive for using my site 500mb quota and 5gb bandwith for 50posts. Gotten Forum posters - I am in the middle of getting paid forum posters to help make my forum look like it is active. But im not sure what else to do because it doesnt seem to be working. Hope you can help. Kieran
It takes time and effort. It also takes content. You should be filling every section with posts for people to read, and consider joining because they want to respond. There has to be a level of activity present. It also helps if it is part of a program or project that you have built a following with. Take for instance my list building forum, it's promoted in every email to the members of my list building e-course.
Tough to get such forums off the ground unless you focus on a specific niche and have people to help to keep the forum active from the very beginning. No one would love to come to a forum with a few posts and no other user online.
