How to market this????

    Hello,

    I have a shopping/coupon website and I have no idea how to promote this site without big advertising bucks that i don't have so how about some ideas Please from you experts in marketing.

    Go to all the related deals and/or coupon forums and have a link to your site in your sig.

    This sort of stuff will appeal to people on the social networking sites. Make at least one, possibly more, Squidoo lens using long tail keywords.

    Make sure you ping the site when you make a new blog post.

    Write articles and submit them to high PR directories with a link to your site in the bio box.

    Submit a free press release to Pressbox.co.uk

    Join forums and link to your site in your sig file.

    I would suggest that you start using social networks and social media sites along side with a good blog related to the stuff you talk about. Another thing that you have to bare in mind is that press releasing could be a good kickstart for you and your business. Start using article directories and press release directories.     There are a ton of freebie forums around, I would start a blog, start 4-5 squidoo lenses and make a name for yourself on those freebie forums. You will have more traffic than you know what to do with. I would also recommend starting your own forum on your site, its a great way to get others comming back for updated content.

    Target your site to a specific niche.

    There's an abundance of well-established coupon websites. But most of them are general in nature. In other words, they carry coupons from dozens of different vendors.

    I would only carry coupons for a specific shopping category. Like books, children's clothes, or whatever.

    This way if you're trying to get links/traffic from some of the larger coupon sites, you have a unique advantage. And you'll get far more repeat visitors this way.
