How to market the blog?

sorry if its a repeat.
i wud like to get more hits for the blog
can anyone tell what are the best ways of doing this? ( i know i can do with adwords... but dont want to do that. )

good keywords and clean coding will help. you can always do link exchanges with similar sites or you could always spam myspace (looked down on and could get you banned from adsense). Use alt text for all your images with keywords in them.

yeah you could always submit to directories. There are hundreds or even thousands of links to directories on this site. Just look in people sigs for directory links. Submit to those.

I got my blog to a pr3 in under 3 months
with some good quality traffic and some
adsense revenue by doing rss announcer,
blog blaster, forum posting and through
my list.
Good quality articles that people want to
read and come back for more, a lot of
people say that unique counts are the key
to getting somewhere, i say repeat visitors
are better.
Give them what they want and make a
killing from it.

What I dont get is, if link exchange is a thing from the past and no one really benefits from mutual links anymore, why do the directories keep asking for a link back?

 

Try reaching out to people on forums, including entries from your blog and information on how to access more entries.
