Consistency. That is the best thing I can give you. If you are constantly posting every day, week or whatever to the same select forums, ad areas etc you'll receive a consistent view from that consistent population. The bulk of people like their one place and stay there, they are either yahooers, googlers, facebookers or myspacers so on- do the same, let people know you are there to stay and are stable. Websites and blogs help attract people, get you looked at and overall increase your own abilities- if you have to seek out information to write about you are developing yourself, a business is like nature, if you aren't growing you are dieing, same with a plant. They always grow...or are dead.

Well registering yourself in forums is a good start, but also you should try offline advertising, business cards, flyers, etc
Just study & try out new ways of services. Marketing is about getting something new & learn something new ....
Agree with Michael, build a website and try to make it like an authority Classified Ad posting site. Then promote it through forums, Facebook fan page, twitter, Youtube & of course Classified sites. If you can deliver great results, people will start flocking to your sites Good luck,
You could join forums related to job posting and undercut some of the others in other to gain clients
you have to be patient....make some reputation in the forums,give some review copies,people will themselves come for your service then. hope this helps
