I have my own one year old web development and E-commerce solution site and i want to know ways how to market it and gain relevant traffic.

 

Well A link to your company website in your signature is a start. =)

Do some promoting here on DP and Sitepoint. Discount your prices then build up.

DO some wordpress templates..

JV with people who are talking with small business owners for small website creating..

 

Try adwords advertisement

 

Advertise it in Google & Yahoo, post articles on Digg and then blog on Myspace, Facebook and other social networks. Do this as fast as you can and people will flock to you.

 

For Sales:
Consider contacting local businesses in your area.
Depending on your time and budget constraints, this could be done via direct mail, telephone contact, or going door to door.

For Traffic:
Work on SEO techniques.
Use PPC Advertising.
Article Marketing
Make your sig a clickable link to your site.
Participate in relevant forums
etc...

And always ... ALWAYS ... begin building your list of targeted prospects.

i have tried SEO techniques but not too much effective ,but few things are new to me like posting articles on Digg and blog on Myspace, Facebook and other social networks.

I have the same type of business and it is an extremely crowded market. Generally, you'll have to go out searching for your business. I've heard that a lot of people really find success in local markets. The vast majority of your business will be word of mouth.

 

Try advertising locally as well. The previous post suggested Word of Mouth advertising will play a key role. I agree...

If its work you're after, I would get yourself on the likes of Elance and Rentacoder and start bidding on projects.

 

youtube and ppc. Both work wonders for traffic generation

 

If you want more than the miniscule traffic that those methods can only give you, create nice, appealing ads, and put them in a shit-load of sites that its visitors may like what you have to offer.

That's basically it, in a nutshell.
