My wife and I have started AllTheseBooks.com, a site dedicated to promoting new authors. It is starting to gain momentum, but I'm still looking for more exposure. Here is what we are already doing: MySpace, MySpace groups, reader/book forums, Yahoo answers, reviews submitted to several websites, directories, blog comments, mutual promotions. I'm also going to do a press release. We have 5 interviews with authors scheduled. What would be good places (other than our site and our MySpace) to submit them? Thanks for any help.
I wonder if there is a way to get picked up by some news networks? Or maybe it's interesting enough for social media? (which I doubt - this topic doesn't seem to be "hot" with the youths)
Go to where we hang out at and shoot an e-mail. Boards, blogs.... Also check out online bookstores. Also do a search.
Perry, we are already doing all those things. I guess we just have to do it more and for longer. Patience and persistence are the keywords.
Hi there, have you ever thought of using podcasts as a way to communicate your message and talk on the subject? Podcasts can help you present your topic in such way that people will be able to learn about you and this will also help you establish your credibility. Why not videos? Videos will even help you connect with your viewers and it will also help you instill confidence in your audiance and it will no doubt make the people watching the videos feel more secure as they will be able to see the people behind the scenes, if I can put it that way. Hope these two options work for you!
Personally....it doesnt matter what market...if your site is gaining momentum..offer a recording of the interview to all that join your list...use the follow up interviews as a bonus..record it as a mp3..bingo..youre done...
