Firstly you need to know how to better index your website. Get some high quality contents and build backlinks to your blog. When indexed then search out for keywords. Prefer keywords which are not high in demand and you can get in top ranking with less efforts. Now to get some good out of your blog you need to research and fill up your blog with some recent and very interesting contents. Flourish the title with link in forums or blogs...You will start getting visitors..
It depends on your budget. If you're on a tight budget and want to attract US visitors, try craigslist, backpages and all the other free classifieds. For other visitors, try classifieds targeting specific countries or general classifieds. Other free resource are: - Yahoo Answers - Forums (check for instance big-boards.com for niche forums) - Traffic exchange - Write and submit articles: Make sure the content you put in them is unique, informative, and well written with no spelling and grammar errors. Write a short bio and your website address at the end of each article. - Blog commenting - Link building: Find out websites that attract huge volumes of traffic and are not in direct competition with you, approach them and offer to have their link on your website in return for having your link on theirs. Since popular websites attract a large volume of traffic visitors visiting that site also visit your website by clicking on your links. - Make sure your website user friendly and easy to navigate. Make a long term traffic generation plan or road map, set your goals - whenever you make a plan, you do this with an intention of achieving some goals.
