How to market a writers blog?

    Hi!
I am a person which supposed to be a writer. I write a lot of articles that are 400-800 words and they are all about different topics

The question is, how can I market my blog to drive some more visitors? I can't do SEO because I don't have clear keywords that I need to be ranked for.

I think you should try to offer your writing skills here on DP. I see that there are lots of people who want good writers by themselves. Also, you can put your blog and description of what you need in signature on Digital Point. This is a large forum it can be very helpful.

you should do what Vukasinl said that's the first step, while you can't categories
your whole site with the same keywords that doesn't mean you can't target
your posts with keywords or that seo is not relevant...
first of all you should create a social presence: open a twitter account and a
Facebook fanpage, engage with your audience and share your passion. as for seo,
you can buy edu backlinks and mix it up with other backlinks (but don't just spam your links... doesn't work anymore), "all my articles have different topics" so what? you are the one writing and it's good content and Google loves that, it's not like the spunned crap that other blogs have and that's why people
will stay on your site longer, just remember that patience and perseverance are the key!

by the way how much do you charge for your articles?

you can also write a batch of article that have similar topics and
    target them with similar keywords,
here's what you need to remember:
a lot of articles - good
unique content that can't be found elsewhere - great
writing on a regular basis and posting on your blog - awesome

Please don't take this the wrong way, as it's really not meant to sound at all snarky or mean-spirited in any way.

One of the best pieces of advice I can give you, as a fellow writer, is to consider everything you write anywhere where you might come in contact with potential customers as an element in your marketing mix. As such, you should always ensure that it is grammatically sound, coherent, and free of spelling mistakes. Now, obviously, we all make mistakes from time to time (not least when writing on forums and social networks, which is usually quite rushed!), but try to minimise it as best you can.

Again, I don't at all mean to sound like I'm trying to pick on you, but if I were to hire a writer to help me on a big project, I would opt for one who knows that it's "writer's blog" (singular) or "writers' blog" (plural) rather than "writers blog".

Also, be confident! Don't say that you're "supposed to be a writer" - you are a writer! :)

I think you can make use of social media and forum. You can create an account about your blog on Facebook or twitter to collect fans. In addition, participating forum to communicate with others who share same interests with you is also a feasible method.

First of all, you are at right path at right time now....

Writers are earning good money, at first you need to give time in building relationship with your clients, for this you need to provide quality works, respond to them timely; you can find clients here on DP, freelance sites and other forums as well.

You can also promote your services in your signature, forums and blogs that are related to your niche.

Doing this steps may be helpful, but you forgot to mention that he should be an active member on the forum so he can get some attention.

Find your target market and figure out where they spend most of their time. For example, if your blog posts are about home decorating, cooking or family life, Pinterest will have most of your target market.
