Honestly, is there any difference in marketing a wallpaper site then any other site? There are basic and starter threads on marketing and promoting sites all over this board. Have you bothered to use the search function here on DP yet? best answer that anyone else could have given...
erm... There's a thread IDENTICAL to this one on DP and I'm not sure if you're the same person. Wallpaper sites will get their traffic almost entirely through search engines and very little from referal sites. Build backlinks and rank high in the SERPs for uncompetetive long-tail key phrases and for a few competetive key words. Don't bother with buying links for traffic through referring sites unless you can see a gap in that market. As with most sites, you want to do as much SEO as you can, but I think for a wall paper site, SEO is ALL you need.

Everyone loves wallpapers, therefor you can advertise everywhere!!! Also, you could add your logo or domain name as a water mark on the bottom left side of most of your wallpapers, that way people would remember it.
You have ADD or something? You made that decision within two hours of posting this thread... This means you are wasting the time of the members in general marketing, or are sending some rather mixed messages to the fine members of site sales. *shrug* Sit back, relax, take your time... make educated decision based on collected facts rather then whims. You'll make it farther online financially... Best of luck!
