Recently i started a new travel site, which is basically just travel information on a particular country. So anyone has any suggestion how about I should market my new site ? Here's what i plan to do after the site is 60% functional ( I am still in the process of updating the site ): 1. Links exchange with local sites, as well as travel sites. 2. Forum signature links - I'm a member of several forums. 3. Join popular travel forums, especially those on my country, and provide information with links to my site. 4. Submit articles "why visit this country" etc ? But will it be effective since it won't get much interest. 5. Purchase links ? Not exactly wanting to spend money on this ^^ Anyone with better suggestions ?
5. No you don't need to purchase links... why not look for traveling related directories.. or directories with a section for your niche and submiting your site to them?
Oh yah, submiting to directories are also part of the plan. Actually i have already started doing this, but really adding it slowly for now.
You could try using video to promote your site. There are many sites to upload videos that have millions of viewers. Send me a pm if you need more info.
