Hey guys, I have this new site, www.criminalmatrix.com - Its a text based RPG game. I am quite new to gamming sites, so I dont know how to market them. Can anyone give me a good start? Only have a 50$ spending limit, so free ways and some paind ways would be great. Really appreciate it!
I'm afraid $50 will never be enough. I don't have the time to sign up and play the game but these are a few things you need to look at; Web design Hosting (i it gets popular you're bandwidth costs could hit the roof) Is the game enaging? is the story good enough to get people involved? Once you can say yes to these, then ou can worry about advertising it. The best way to start is advertise an opening date, let people sign up for an account and the day you open, email them all. The idea behind that is you'll have enough people playing first time round.
Word of mouth is the best, if this game is worth it So get some exposure for your site through reviews placed in relevant blogs.
